Intergénérations Quebec

A provincial non-profit organization, Intergénérations Québec is a solidarity action network that works to bring generations together for the development of an open, inclusive and just society. Each year, in May, the organization celebrates initiatives that create links between generations by coordinating an intergenerational Québec Week.

ALZHEIMER GROUPE (A.G.I.) INC. offers therapeutic programs to individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Additionally, AGI provides support services to families and professional care partners, focusing on best practices in dementia care, while sensitizing the community at large through education and awareness.

The CREGÉS (Centre for Research and Expertise in Social Gerontology) brings together the worlds of research, professional practice and citizen action around a common project, social gerontology. Social gerontology is a multidisciplinary field of study focused on the social aspects of aging.

Groupe Harmonie provides support services for people aged 55+ struggling with problems such as alcohol, drugs, other substances or gambling.

The Les Petits Frères organization welcomes and accompanies single seniors, helping them to counter their isolation, and creating a committed and faithful family around them until the end of their lives.

Chez nous is an intergenerational homeshare project housed in the Concordia Student Union’s Off-Campus Housing and Job Bank (HOJO).

Senior non-credit program

Concordia University offers a Senior Non-credit Program for those 55 years of age and over with proof of Canadian status to take university undergraduate courses for fun and not for grades.
