Funding for Project on Tablet Computing and Seniors
ACM’s Dr. Kim Sawchuk and co-researcher Annette Leibing have received a starter fund of $5, 000 for the new research project “Ageing in App Land: Tablet Computing and Older Adults.” The fund is awarded as part of the program “Vie scientifique” of the Centre de recherche et d’expertise en gérontologie sociale (CREGÉS).
Upcoming conference: Processes of Aging
The interdisciplinary conference “Processes of Aging” will be held in Florence, Italy from March 5th until March 7th. It has been organized jointly by the Research Initiative “Age(ing): Cultural Concepts and Practical Realisations” at the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf and the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz (Max-Planck-Institut).
