World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) is held in June each year. The first World Elder Abuse Awareness Day was organized by the International Network for the Prevention for Elder Abuse (INPEA) in 2006.The day serves as a call to action for individuals, organizations and communities to raise awareness about abuse, neglect and exploitation of older people.

Centre d’orientation sociale et paralégale pour immigrants(COPSI)
Ageing Communications Media research network (Concordia University)
Atwater Library and Computer Centre’s Digital Literacy Project
RECAA’s mission is to raise awareness of elder abuse among Montreal communities through non-verbal theater.
COPSI’s mandate is to facilitate the integration of immigrants into Quebec society.
