Sonja Pöllänen (MSSc) is working as a project researcher at the University of Eastern Finland. She is currently editing a book on rural research. Her general research interests are in the theory of knowledge and historical approaches to different social, economic and political movements. (e.g. migration.) In her postgraduate studies she is researching the historical formations – and the idea and value – of “likeness” in different cultural and socio-political settings in Finland.
