The Statistics don’t hurt (I) – European team workshop is a three day, hands-on workshop on statistical tools for analyzing the first wave of the Longitudinal Study of Older Audiences. The workshop will reinforce the quantitative analysis dimension of the ACT project with a focus on techniques for analyzing the cross-sectional data that has been gathered. The workshop will primarily focus on developing statistical skills with SPSS software, with some training in open access softwares as well.
The event will contribute to team building and community building in the project. In doing so, the aim is to develop a horizontal, shared learning process. Particularly, the workshop aims at training ACT affiliated graduate, PhD, and Post-Doc students and fostering intergenerational academic mentorship.
