SUMMARY:Older People and Digital Isolation
DESCRIPTION:The goal of this workshop is to provide an analytical space that puts together relevant actors coming from the academic\, governmental\, third sector\, and design fields interested in debating on the potential role of information and communication technologies –especially social media– in palliating the social isolation older people may experience. \nThis workshop is held under the framework of the research project “Older people and social networks: Breaking with digital isolation”\, supported by Obra Social “la Caixa” and in collaboration with ACUP\, as part of the Recercaixa 2012 call. \nMireia Fernández-Ardèvol participates in this workshop on May 29th with the following presentation: \n\n‘Do you want to see pictures of my grandchildren?’ Some evidence to break with stereotypes\n\nMore information about the workshop here\nTo see the program\, click here (in Spanish)
