Accessibility Gamepad Challenge

May 24, 2017

On May 24, we’re having an Accessibility Gamepad Challenge and you’re invited!

Have you ever wished that your gamepad design was different? Do you or someone close to you have a reduced mobility or live with accessibility limitations that requires modifications to the objects you use daily? Then we have a challenge for you! Come join a collaborative team and tinker with capacitive sensors, gamepads, arcade buttons and joysticks, and more!

Our team has been tinkering around the usability challenge that a person with Parkinson’s disease may encounter when playing a game, but we’re open to other accessibility issues.

Join us on May 24th on the 11th floor of the EV building (11.655) to think of better ways to design gamepads, interactions between your body, modes of communication, capacities and video games, or co-design something with a new accessibility!

The location, including bathrooms, are accessible for people using wheelchairs and other mobility aids.

Refreshments will be served.
