I have a background in law and public health representing older people and those with mental health or developmental disabilities who are the subject of substituted decision making or forced medication orders. My PhD will explore the role of the body in social exclusion of the oldest old , using a community based participatory methodology , photovoice. The research will include a social action component to identify barriers to full community participation to local policy makers in remote island settings in the USA. Dr. Paul Higgs is my supervisor.
