I started my PhD in Communication Studies at the Université de Montréal in September 2009, after having completed an MA and a BA in Sociology at the Université du Québec à Montréal. In my Masters dissertation I studied the representations around the hockey club the Montreal Canadiens. Under the supervision of Professor Line Grenier, my dissertation thesis continues the study of the Montreal Canadiens through the prism of practices of memory. The project explores the intersections between cultural memory, popular culture and sport. I am currently a research assistant for Line Grenier on a project examining the relationship between successful aging, popular music, visibility and retirement homes. I am also a member of the Lab Culture Populaire Connaissance Critique.
