Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Department of Communication Studies at Concordia University, working with Professor Kim Sawchuk and the Mobile Media Lab on multiple projects that explore digital story-telling and inter-generationality, exploring the difference and connections between age groups. I received my PhD from McGill University (Department of Integrated Studies) in 2010. My area of expertise is in digital media culture and creation, with an emphasis on youth digital citizenship. I am actively involved with youth media initiatives in Canada, South America, and Europe. I am co-directing a short documentary on youth privacy with Dr. Leslie Regan Shade, Concordia University; I am also a Research Associate for the The School of Communication at Simon Fraser University, working with Dr. Stuart Poynz and Dr. Michael Hoechsamnn (Lakehead University). I have taught in the Department of Communication Studies at Concordia University, the Faculty of Education at McGill University, and the First Nation and Inuit Education program at McGill University.
